L.A. Kauffman is the author of Direct Action: Protest and the Reinvention of American Radicalism. She has been at the forefront of many movement moments, from fighting AIDS with Act Up to fighting the Iraq War with UFPJ.
Judith LeBlanc is the director of Native Organizers Alliance and a long time champion in the struggle for racial justice, peace and the environment. She recently spent a lot of time in Standing Rock, working with the protest encampments to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.
